Empowering Car Buyers with a Seamless Online Experience

Overview

The Volkswagen NZ website underwent a comprehensive redesign based on worldwide guidelines to cater to the changing dynamics of the car-buying process and the new worldwide brand refresh.

With car buyers dedicating 60% of their time to online research and arriving at dealerships with a clear idea of their preferences, the website aimed to provide extensive assistance and inspiration.

The goal was to empower buyers with online tools that enable them to find, customize, reserve, and finance their ideal Volkswagen vehicle.

The Ask

Volkswagen NZ sought to enhance the online car-buying experience by creating a user-friendly website that guides customers throughout their journey.

The website needed to showcase a vast inventory of 831 new and used cars while integrating e-commerce and online advertising strategies to drive engagement and conversions. We needed to shape the website's user experience, ensuring seamless navigation and captivating design elements.

The Solution

As the UX/UI designer, my role involved meticulously crafting an intuitive and visually appealing user experience for the website.

By adhering to worldwide guidelines, we created a design that facilitated easy exploration of the extensive car inventory, streamlined the customization process, and provided tools for reservation and financing.

Interactive features and a visually engaging interface were implemented to keep users engaged and guide them seamlessly through the car-buying journey.

The Result

The redesigned website attracted an impressive 80,000 monthly visitors and effectively showcased 831 new and used car listings.

The website's user-friendly interface and comprehensive online tools empowered car buyers, enabling them to arrive at dealerships fully informed and ready to make a purchase.

The integration of e-commerce and online advertising strategies further enhanced customer engagement and conversions, establishing the website as a vital component of Volkswagen NZ's digital presence.
